Kent Elliott

Kent Elliott is a retired minister who has held pastorates in the United Church of Christ in eastern Montana, and in the United Methodist Church in Montana and Wyoming. He and wife Barb have three grown daughters and seven grandchildren. They make their home near Boulder -- a small town in southwestern Montana. So far, Kent has written two novels. He's passionate about the writing process, adding something every day, but he refuses to be tied to deadlines for completion. In retirement, this works great.

I'VE SEEN DRY tells a story of life in a small, isolated Montana town in the early 1980s, where a killing and surrounding events in 1918 still affect the community.

THE SHALLOWS OF JABBOK takes the reader through the years with a woman and her family making the most of ranching and struggles in Montana's empty country in the early 20th century.

Kent has also published a collection of short fiction: The Deerhide Creek Mine Disaster and Other Stories. He's currently (as of Nov. 2015) writing a third novel under the working title: It's Not About You, Wally.
