(Lecturer in Old Testament) Andrew J. Brown

Andrew grew up on Australia's east coast, is married with three young adul children, and is a lecturer in Old Testament and Hebrew at Melbourne School of Theology, a non-denominational tertiary theological institution in Melbourne, Australia. His PhD in Religious Studies (2011) from the University of Queensland was awarded for a thesis on the history of interpretation of the creation week in Genesis 1:1-2:3, covering the period from the early church until about 1860. Other research interests include biblical interpretation, visual learning, biblical creation texts, reception theory, Psalms, Jeremiah and Isaiah.
