Russell Steven Powell (b. 1955) is the author of 'Molly's 17 Rules for Living: Words to Live by from a Canine Bodhisattva' (Brook Hollow Press, 2020), 'Feeling the Heat: Temperature and Time Sensitive' (Brook Hollow Press, 2016), 'Living Without Lawn: Rethinking the Front Yard' (Brook Hollow Press, 2016), 'My Interview with James Baldwin' (Brook Hollow Press, 2016), 'Apples of New England,' (Countryman Press, 2014), and 'America's Apple' (Brook Hollow Press, 2012).
He produced the video documentary 'Shack Time' (2001), about the artist shacks in the dunes of the Cape Cod National Seashore, and he published the award-winning magazine 'New England Watershed' in 2006 and 2007. His oil paintings and prints have been widely exhibited in Massachusetts and Cape Cod, Rhode Island, New York City, and Virginia.
