Kenneth Y. T. Lim

Kenneth is presently a Senior Research Scientist at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Prior to this appointment, he taught in several schools in Singapore, as well as served in the Ministry of Education. Kenneth sits on the Editorial Board of the Gold Open Access journal 'Computers and Education Open', which is the companion journal to the Elsevier 'Computers and Education'. He received his Masters from Harvard and built on this during his doctoral research on spatial cognition. Kenneth's present research interests lie in neuroergonomics and maker movements, as well as in the affordances for learning of fictive worlds and virtual environments, the latter for which he developed the Six Learnings curriculum framework. As a theory of learning, Disciplinary Intuitions undergirds his work in maker movements, learner-generated augmentation and in immersive environments. Their most recent project is Life2Well, which expands to Learning at the intersection of AI, physiology, EEG, our environment and well-being. Their findings have been published in – among others – the Springer journal ‘AI, Brain and Child’.
