Casey Douglass

Casey Douglass was born in Norwich, UK in 1982. Growing up, he had a love of writing that always saw him pestering his English teachers for new assignments that might give him the chance to write his own stories. This twinned with horrific nightmares through childhood planted the seeds for what he has become today.

He fell ill in 2000 and has suffered with chronic ill health ever since. This gave him cause to re-evaluate much of what he thought about life and what he wants from it. Eventually he rekindled his love of writing and even though it physically pains him, he now knows what he wants to do. He has a love of the macabre, the twisted and the dark and enjoys the way a good story can momentarily distract from, or reduce by comparison, the pain found in the real world.

He completed a Diploma in Literature and Creative Writing with the Open University and ever since has been developing his own style and voice, both with fiction and non-fiction. He places regularly in writing competitions, writes articles and reviews for various websites and has his writing published in a handful of places. He is quietly pleased that his efforts are now bearing fruit and that the journey continues.
