Ursula Hartlein

Ursula Hartlein, who also writes as Carrie-Anne Brownian, was born in Pittsburgh on the fifth night of Chanukah in 1979. She's spent most of her life in the Capital Region of New York State, and has a degree in History and Russian and East European Studies from UMass–Amherst. Her love of things from bygone eras led her to writing historical fiction in elementary school. Early on, she found her calling in 20th century historical fiction, particularly family and town sagas.

Her ultimate goal is to be remembered as a writer for all time, like Dante and Shakespeare.
