Norene Gonsiewski

Norene Gonsiewski, MSW, LCSW, has worked with couples and individuals since 1980 using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Dedicated to helping people of all ages to understand how our thinking determines our lives, Norene has coached thousands of people not only to improve their moods and manage depression and anxiety but also to improve their marriages, work relationships, and family lives. Together with Nicole, she has taught many workshops and classes for teenagers and their parents in the areas of ANTs and communication.

In 1997, Norene founded Portland Relationship Center, through which she practices Imago Relationship Therapy and offers resources for creating healthy and lasting relationships. She teaches workshops for couples and individuals on how to building lasting and passionate relationships. She also teaches Money HabitudesTM, a course for adults and teens on understanding your habits and attitudes about money. Norene is affectionately known at the "Relationship Guru." As such, she is a sought-after guest on television talk shows. She loves working with parents on the challenges that arise inside themselves and in the marriages while raising a family. In today's world, those challenges can last even longer as young adult children continue to live at home. In addition to co-authoring "It's Your Mind: Own It!" Norene also is the coauthor of "Rock Solid Relationship: Seven Keys to Restore Your Connection and Make Your Love Last", as well as A Training Manual for Respite, a book focusing on the importance of respite care for families with children with medical needs. Next in the works for Norene is a book on the common thinking patterns that have a negative affect on marriages.

Norene lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband, Tom.
