Phil Emmert

Phil Emmert left a secure job at Dow Chemical Co. in central Indiana to go into the ministry. He graduated from Johnson Bible College (now Johnson University) in Tennessee at 37 years of age. Phil has worn many hats in his 77 years. Besides his 13 years as a research assistant, he has been a school bus driver, Children's Social Worker, Counselor, and of course has ministered all the while. He is the father of 4 children, 11 grandchildren, plus 3 step-children and 4 step-grandchildren. He and his wife Bea recently moved to Washington, NC but Phil still drives 50 miles twice a week to preach in a small church of Christ in a rural community. "When War Was Heck" is his first book. But he has more on the way.
