Nels Jacobson

Nels Jacobson has been researching, writing about, and creating rock poster art for thirty-five years. His design work is archived at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and elsewhere under the moniker “Jagmo,” and can be viewed at www.jagmo.com. Jacobson serves on the board of The Rock Poster Society, and is a founding director of both the South Austin Popular Culture Center and the American Poster Institute. He was art director for the South by Southwest (SXSW) Music and Media Conference during its first six years beginning in 1987, and served for several years on the GRAMMY packaging committees for both the Texas and San Francisco Chapters of the Recording Academy. In addition to his poster scholarship and design work, Jacobson has been practicing copyright and trademark law since 1995.
