Born and raised in northeastern Pennsylvania, Paul Cwalina is the grandson of immigrant coalminers. Perhaps that's where he got his penchant for digging deep into the dark of the human experience.
"I don't write 'comfortable' stories. I want my readers to be affected and to think; to get out of their comfort zones just a bit. The biggest compliment I receive on 'Dropping Stones' is that the story stays with a person long after they've read it. To me, that says 'mission accomplished'."
His genres range from literary fiction to Christian fiction to mystery/suspense. "I don't rule out any genre as long as I believe the story is there. That's what is most important -- the story. I also want to give the readers more than just the main story on the page. I want to give them reason to go back and read my books again and find something more. Give them something to discuss about the human experience."
Paul lives with his wife and children in Drums, Pennsylvania.
