Kate Bettison

I was born and live in the driest state in the driest country in the world. I love to travel, but I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else for very long.

After a major hiatus from writing – pretty much from childhood – I wrote “When You Can’t Have Kids” in 2014. And then there was a shorter hiatus.

Now, after reading the magnificent book “The War of Art” by Steven Pressfield I am committed to making a career out of writing. My young adult novel “The Elephant Ride” will be out in May.

It only took me four decades to work out what I want to be – I don’t think that’s too bad!
