Stefano Sandrone

Stefano Sandrone (Canelli, Italy, 1988) is a PhD student at King's College London.

He graduated with honours in psychology at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan. After holding his first research position at the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich, he settled in London to continue research into neuroanatomy and history of neuroscience.

In 2014 he was selected as a young scientist to attend the 64th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Physiology or Medicine. In 2015 Stefano co-authored, with Marco Catani, the book entitled Brain Renaissance. From Vesalius to modern neuroscience (Oxford University Press), which received a one-page review in Nature. In 2016 he won the H. Richard Tyler Award for the History of Neurology presented by the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and the AAN Archive Committee.
