Thabang Modiba

I was born in the South African town of Polokwane in Limpopo Province. I realized my passion for writing at the age of ten.I used to write stories and hide them in my mother's book shelf. After a few weeks I'll take them out and read them like a stranger wrote them. They'll give me wings and I'll fly and fly, higher and higher. That's when I knew I had to share this feeling with you.

In February 2014 I published my debut novel, About The Girl, which was launched by Eskia Mphahlele library in may 2014.In July 2015 I published my short story,The City of Gold. In June 2016, I published my second book, Black is Red White is Blue.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing big smiles on my nephew and niece's little faces as soon as I show up at the door. We will watch 'Sofia The First' together, then I'll sip my strong black coffee and wrap up the day by watching the night sky.
