Girley Tegama

Girley Tegama was born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe. She currently resides with her family in the United States. Tegama is a Zimbabwe television actress, known for Nherera (1996) and Murambiwa (1997). She has been featured on front covers of primary school textbooks used in Zimbabwe including the “Living and Working Together” series. She began writing in both English and Shona from a young age. Her earlier published works were English short stories featured in the Zimbabwe Sunday Mail. Tegama’s published poetry collections include “Fireside Poetry” written in English, and “Dakunanzva Renhetembo: Pamusoroi Madzishe” written in her native language, Shona. Reflections of Love is her third book of poems.
