Eric J. Barr

Eric is a founder and co-managing member of Fischer Barr & Wissinger LLC, and is the Director of the Firm’s Accounting and Assurance Services and Business Valuation departments.

Eric has more than forty years of public accounting experience specializing in litigation support, consulting and traditional accounting and auditing services. Eric is a nationally sought after thought leader, lecturer and webinar presenter on accounting, forensic and valuation issues of businesses, including S Corporations and Limited Liability Companies, and has held multiple leadership positions in the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.

In his capacity as a recognized expert, Eric prepares and issues reports; he critiques other experts; assists in settlement negotiations; and testifies in connection with business valuations, commercial litigation, forensic accounting and lost profits analyses. Eric provides consulting and expert witness services in connection with the valuation of control and minority business interests, matrimonial dissolutions, shareholder/member disputes, estate/gift planning, mergers/acquisitions/disposals, purchase price allocations and employee stock issuances. Eric has performed investigations to determine the amount of lost profits, fraud, marital lifestyle and equitable distribution.

Prior to joining Fischer Barr & Wissinger, Eric was a litigation and accounting partner in a national CPA firm. He has also held Quality Control positions at several accounting firms and is a former Director of Accounting and Assurance Services of a mid-sized New Jersey CPA firm.
