Kathy Weyer

Kathy Weyer is an author, artist, and former grief counselor whose work explores what it means to rebuild a life after it’s been unexpectedly rewritten. Drawing on a career that spans human resources, clinical psychology, and community advocacy, she brings a deeply human lens to stories of loss, identity, and second chances.

Her debut novel, Stitches, launched on her 60th birthday and began the Heritage Art Park series, a collection of interconnected stories centered around a group of women navigating personal transformation in midlife. Each book in the series tackles a different social issue, from bereavement and foster care to domestic violence and mental health, while weaving together a shared community of characters.

Kathy lives in Palm Springs with her husband and their rescued animals, where she continues to write, paint, and advocate for causes close to her heart. Her work has received recognition from the Palm Springs Writers Guild and local arts organizations, reflecting her commitment to both storytelling and creative expression.
