An award-winning digital media pioneer at the forefront of research into social media and new forms of storytelling, he is a professor at the School of Journalism, Writing, and Media at the University of British Columbia, Canada. His award-winning book, Tell Everyone: Why We Share and Why It Matters, delves deeply into how social media is reshaping the worlds of media, business and activism. Alfred has a distinguished journalistic pedigree, having honed his craft in telling stories with impact through 16 years at the BBC News, including four years as a correspondent in the Middle East.
