A G HILL

Like George, the protagonist in "George and the Monster Inside", A G Hill was born on an RAF base and moved a lot during his childhood, attending many different schools.

Stories, whether, in books, films, on TV or simply retold by others, fired his imagination and helped him to cope with the disruption constant moving plus ill health had on his life and education.

When leaving school, A.G. vowed never to have anything to do with schools but he ended up working with the London City Mission for 19 years, mostly as a school worker!

His love of storytelling was rekindled and in addition to telling Bible stories, he created many of his own. When a prolonged period of ill health forced him out of work, he turned a disappointment into an opportunity by writing George & the Monster Inside, which is his first novel.

He now lives in Aberdeen, Scotland with his wife and an ever growing collection of classical music, film soundtracks and books.
