Dr. Viola John studied Architecture and has many years of experience with issues of sustainable design and construction. Her main research interests are strategies for energy and resource efficient building, as well as simplified Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of buildings, components and materials. She is the author of various publications on these topics and has written the book "Sustainable Construction Techniques" with two co-authors, published in the DETAIL Green Books series. She shared her expertise by teaching students at ETH Zurich for several years, where she is currently employed as a Senior Research Assistant. From March to May 2015, Dr. Viola John has been working as Visiting Professor in research and teaching at Graz University of Technology for a period of three months.
