J. Suthern Hicks

J. Suthern Hicks is an award-winning author, playwright, and musician whose work blends faith, imagination, and storytelling into immersive experiences.

A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Hicks earned his degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a master’s from Arizona State University before spending several years in Los Angeles as an actor and writer. His theatrical work earned an LA Weekly Critics’ Choice Award for Turtle Tears and a Drama-Logue Award for Chug.

He is the author of the Messengers and Thieves trilogy and the Springs of Eternal Life prequel series, set in the imaginative world of the Five Realms of Here.

Hicks has also written two children’s books inspired by his beloved cats.

As a musician (Seven Years), his work has surpassed one million streams and been featured in film.

He lives in Hot Springs, Arkansas, with his wife Michele, a professional violinist.
