Sandra Heilpern

Sandra Heilpern is the younger sibling of Leone Sperling whose many books feature in Cilento publishing. Leone was always the literary one, so how come her nerdy little maths-science sister got to write at all? Well, fortunately, life is full of challenges and insights. How the biochemist got to work in welfare, the environment movement and social research is of course another story, but along the way, Sandra was confronted with the complexity of us humans and how we respond to confronting issues, how we relate to each other and perhaps even more important, how we relate to ourselves. The story of the inner journey might not be as exciting as sci-fi but it fascinates this writer and triggers her compulsion to spill out a novel each decade or so.
