Judy Lussie

Judy Lussie utilizes her cultural background to write stories about Asian-American women who live in the mainstream of American life. She began writing fiction when she retired as Department Head of Technical Information from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California.

Born and raised in Chicago, she received her BFA and AM in art from the University of Illinois.

Her love of reading and church activities led to her being asked to write devotionals for These Days Magazine,some of which developed into novels. Originally from Chicago, Judy lived in Idaho for thirty years, with a two year stint in Japan, and relocated to California. A novella, Lake Biwa Wishes and its sequel take place in Idaho and Japan.

Her short stories have been included in anthologies and literary publications. Judy’s latest novel, Bought Daughter, is a fictional account of her grandparents, a missionary and an atheist, and their immigration to America.
