R. Douglas Wardrop

I am from a small village in Scotland in the UK called Auchinleck.

I studied physics at Stratchclyde University in Glasgow.

I currently live alone in my two-bed flat in Reading in the UK.

My first job was at Vickers Shipbuilders in Barrow-in-Furness in 1984 where I worked for 4 years as an IT software developer on weapons systems software. I worked in IT for a further 20 years - for companies Serco Systems for 9 years (north-east England & west London); EDS for 2 years (central & west London); and Energis (which was taken over by Cable and Wireless in about 2006) for a further 9 years (Reading & Bracknell).

Due to ill-health I stopped working in about 2008.

I am divorced with 2 children who live in France - David who is 12 and Ellie who is 10 (as at the 4th of May 2016).

I have been a Christian for about twelve-and-a-half years (as at the 4th of May 2016) and am looking forward to having future “group conversations”.

Regarding me as an author:

1) From about 2012 God has given me 7 books to write.

2) Three are published ("A Young Person's Guide to Christianity" published July 2014; "Spiritual Disciplines for Today - Getting Closer to God" published September 2015; and "A Christian Understanding of Deception - Gaining an Appreciation of How satan Uses Deception" published April 2015).

3) Two ("The 'antichrist' revealed" and "The Complacent Christian") are about to be published.

4) Two more ("Life Principles from the Bible" and a fiction novel called "Living Free") are underway and are three-quarters complete.
