Sadly, in 2008, my mother Mitzi Libsohn passed on, leaving as her legacy a gorgeous and eloquent collection of poetry which she had written over a thirty-five year period. Her ultimate desire was to have that poetry – her precious and cherished life’s work – published in book form. That was her dream. Regrettably, however, that was not to be. Overwhelmed by her loss and stricken by grief, I was determined to fulfill that dream – it became my grand obsession. I began the slow and painstaking process of lovingly arranging and editing her manuscript, persevering – never wavering in my devotion – for I was committed to the ideals of my mother. The result of that devotion is her book “Immortal Kisses - Confessions of a Poet,” completed in the way I believe she would have wanted. Now she has her dream - it has come true.
My mother will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched – especially by me to whom she leaves a legacy of wisdom – careful advice – devotion – and much love of the deepest kind.
