Leslie J. Smith was born, raised and educated in Ontario, Canada. Called to the Bar of Ontario, Canada in 1988, Leslie began her legal career in Personal Injury, Insurance and General Litigation. In 1995, Leslie focused her practice on Employment Law and has loved every minute since, as she "levels the playing field" at Canadian workplaces.

Leslie realized that despite numerous articles and blog posts on Employment Law in Canada, there were no resources written for employees that would, in plain English and in ONE volume, equip Canadian non-union employees with what they must know to protect themselves in the workplace.
