Catherine Avril Morris

Catherine Avril Morris lives and writes in Austin, Texas, where she consumes as many breakfast tacos and double-Americanos as possible. When she isn't reading, watching terrible TV shows, or chasing the two- and four-legged beasts — er, that is, children and dogs, who destroy — er, that is, live in her home, she is dreaming up sensual love stories with a pulse of humor and a whole lot of heart.

Along with her romance novels, Catherine co-authored YouTube star and motivational speaker Lizzie Velasquez's 2017 release, DARE TO BE KIND: HOW EXTRAORDINARY COMPASSION CAN TRANSFORM OUR WORLD (Hachette Books). Catherine is also a freelance writer whose work is available all over the Web. In 2012, she was honored to be a cast member in the Austin Listen to Your Mother show (to view a video of her reading her essay to a live audience, search "Catherine Avril Morris" on YouTube.com). Catherine also works for Ruby's Rainbow, a nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to college students with Down syndrome. This cause is especially near and dear to Catherine's heart since her own daughter, Pearl, happens to be "rockin' an extra chromosome." In fact, Pearl was the primary inspiration behind the title character of Cassidy in CASSIDY'S DADDY (Rose Quartz Book 2)!

One more fun fact about Catherine: A long time ago, she had a role in a little film called "Dazed and Confused" that became a cult classic.
