Brian Scott Bowers

Brian Bowers is a Veteran of the US Navy and currently works as an IT Specialist in an Network Operations environment. Very artistic at a young age, he would create all sorts of artwork, including illustrations for short stories. In High School he began an interest in writing and began writing poetry, humorous short stories and fantasy stories. Over the years he drifted away from writing in exchange for life in the military, followed by his professional career.

Once he began having kids, he started to read them all the older stories he was read to as a child, along with newer children's books in order to keep them entertained. Over time, they began to run out of the books his children enjoyed and he began to write down his own stories to share with them. Of course, once the story is written, they needed pictures. He drew up the illustrations and from there the books took shape.

For several years he wrote and illustrated only children's books. However, he would constantly see the humor around him in his daily life and make notes about the humorous things that took place. Little by little these notes and instances developed into short stories of real life. Told in the only way that they should be, humorously.

Brian lives in Maryland with his family and a cat that is likely plotting to kill them all in their sleep whilst pretending to be a patient and loving feline. He also has two dogs. Both of which are extremely quite due to the fact that, after 14 years and 17 years respectively, they both passed and were cremated. Though they never bark anymore, they also are lousy at playing fetch.
