About The Author

As a kid I dreamed up stories thinking I might write when I 'grew up'. In grade 6 I failed English but got 100% in geography. I still dreamed up stories. Through most of High School I looked out the window. After a few goes at University I traveled. I moved to Western Canada and finally finished a degree - and taught High School students - you guessed it - English. At 64 I finally wrote a novel - Before the Dawn - an adventure populated with characters born into the remnants of a once abundant but now dystopian world - a Hell ruled by patriarchy and superstition. Will these youth find a way to bend the world to their will?

A second thread in my life has been an interest in Vedic thought. As a kid living in America in the 50s I heard of Yogananda. I was hooked.

I was encouraged by a friend to create a health related course based on Vedic health practices. While teaching the course at Vancouver Island University Elder College I was prompted by students to put the course into book form. (I'd written a novel, how hard could it be?) During the next year I wrote the book The Aging Reversal Course: An Ayurvedic Approach to Wellness and Vitality.

I moved to central British Columbia, in Kamloops after spending a winter traveling in South America and the next winter (2016) traveling in Central America. It has taken me the better part of the last few years to recover and rebuild. I am again feeling my chipper, middle - age of 76. I tell myself that my days of traveling for stretches of 6 to 9 months are over. And they probably are. I miss the energy of meeting young travellers from all over the world - anyone who says, 'what's the matter with these kids today' is nuts - and I miss meeting the many kind people who put up with my abysmal Spanish for a few minutes and then took over the conversation in English. But sadly the marathon travel days are over. Probably over.

Happily, the author is the father to a son and a daughter, and as well blessed with three fabulous granddaughters - 10, 12 and 13 - each of whom embrace Life , and create outlandish stories.

Currently I'm working on a nine book series on longevity. The first book is titled The Rebuild, Book 1, Why We Age and What We Can Do About It. Six of these nine books are for the most part written. Four of the books are part of The High Energy Series -High Energy Breathing, High Energy Hydration, High Energy Eats, High Energy Rest - each designed to be read in an evening, the benefits lasting a lifetime. I've discovered through my teaching and working with clients that each of these four areas of life have to be functioning at optimum. If one is messed up the others will be messed up.

And I have a number of novels 'nearly finished', and others sketched out.

For fun my grandchildren fill me with joy, and I work one on one with clients, and teach workshops focused on natural breathing and its relationship to health and enlightenment. This happily fills the time as I await 'to slip into' the Awareness that I am "not a drop in the ocean ... (but) the ocean in a drop."
