Donna Yarbrough Gandy

What an appropriate beginning for Donna Yarbrough Gandy’s biography page, for she began writing tales when she was barely 8 years old. All of her youthful tales began with, “It was a dark and stormy night”. Alas none of her early tales survived, but she never lost her love for suspense and the adrenaline rush of anticipation. Donna loves adventure, acting crazy with her grandchildren, being anywhere near the water, and much to the chagrin of her children, has a passion for Celtic music. Donna is an author, student, teacher, public speaker, and singer. She and her husband are nonresident missionaries to Brazil. Donna is the recipient of numerous awards for Alphabet Tales as well as some of her other works. She is presently working on several other children’s books as well as an inspirational book of parables and an inspirational suspense novel. As a student, Donna is working toward a master’s degree in Psychology and will soon receive her ordination in the ministry. Upon completion, she plans to further her work with abused women in Texas as well as in Brazil. This is her true passion. She currently resides with her husband in Texas.
