I’ve written Four books so far about yoga and they’ve sold in over 100 countries. Even in India! I teach workshops both nationally and abroad in addition to my weekly classes. I was first introduced to yoga in the high school gym in the late 70’s in Rome, Italy, by my enlightened basketball coach. From that time I became interested in meditation, Asian philosophy and martial arts. After studying fine art in Baltimore and Paris, I became an advertising Art Director and had a career of several years in multinational agencies overseas. It was during this last year in the business in Melbourne, Australia, that I rediscovered my yoga practice. I was so inspired that I left advertising and began studying yoga in earnest. I have studied several styles of yoga, particularly Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga, with master teachers of both styles. I have been certified as an Anusara yoga teacher though am now independent.
During classes and workshops, my goal is to create a lighthearted atmosphere where students can safely push their boundaries, reaching beyond perceived limitations to a more expanded, more creative experience of themselves. I enjoy continually studying all aspects of yoga and, through teaching, helping others experience the creativity, passion and soul that is the art of yoga.
