Gina Ardente

Gina Ardente is an American by birth, but has called many countries her home over the years. Living in Tokyo, Japan for a year as an international exchange college student, started her wanderlust. Taking advantage of being in the East, she travelled extensively throughout Japan, Hong Kong, mainland China, Australia and Hawaii.

Returning to Boston, she completed her studies and took a holiday to see the natural splendors of the West. Gina was so taken with the ethereal, unspoiled beauty of the Rocky Mountains, she moved to Beaver Creek, Colorado where she enjoyed hiking, skiing and snowshoeing. Gina worked as a restaurant manager, dog trainer and volunteer firefighter; three years later, her sites turned to the warmth of the sun in the tropics.

Gina's first foray into the Caribbean was visiting a friend on the tiny island of Saba, however, 5 square miles, population 900 was a bit small for her to live permanently. The beauty of Tortola, British West Indies, caught her attention and she took a position at an exclusive restaurant there. A few years later found Gina sailing and working as a chef on a private motor yacht plying exotic destinations.

Her final destination was the small island of Nevis, where she met her husband and had two children. Gina recently repatriated to the New England area of the US, but is already talking about moving to Italy.
