I've always had a love for children and art. When I became a mom in 2010, my daughter and I met friends from all over the world (Japan, Australia, UK, Sweden, South Korea... you name it!). We developed friendships that will last a lifetime and my daughter's friends taught us all about things we didn't even know existed, like yetis. We would play "i see a yeti" in our beautiful neighborhood in downtown Chicago. I loved seeing the children laugh and smile as we tried looking for the yeti day after day in our Chicago parks.
Having a passion for storytelling and art, I decided to write a book about yetis. I would read the book to my daughter and her friends to make sure they approved and then I began the illustrations (my favorite part). I included illustrations of our favorite Chicago landmarks and currently love to see how excited children get when they recognize them in my book.
What makes me happy is when I hear people tell me that their children asked to read "I See a Yeti" over and over again. Greatest feeling in the world! Hope you enjoy the yeti's adventures too and the Chicago landmarks I have incorporated in my book (and future books).
