Gabriel Sakakeeny

Gabriel Sakakeeny is a conductor, business leader, inventor, and author who specializes in moving people and organizations to a state of high performance. He has an unusual body of experience blending 30+ years in business as an entrepreneur, engineer, and consultant with 40+ years leading symphonic orchestras. Since 1990, he has trained over 15,000 people in companies including Hewlett-Packard, Cisco Systems, Agilent Technologies, Medley Capital, Spectra Logic, Verigy Ltd., Oberlin College Conservatory, AutoReturn, and Freixenet USA, among many others.

Sakakeeny started his career in the audio technology space as an electronic engineer specializing in high voltage power supplies and test instruments, low noise analog electronics, and A to D design, eventually becoming the VP R&D/Manufacturing for Precision Fidelity. In a career-changing move, he won full scholarships to the Juilliard School, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and Rice University to study orchestral conducting and management. After taking his Master’s Degree at Rice University, he won the position of Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Houston Youth Symphony and the Houston Youth Ballet from an international field of over 200 hopefuls.

In 1990, Sakakeeny co-founded Jupiter Systems (now Antares Audio Technologies), a software company specializing in advanced signal processing applications for audio. After exiting Jupiter Systems in 1995, he joined Paradigm Consulting and JMW Consultants as a leadership development consultant and faculty member. He joined Agilent Technologies in 1999, where he led an overall corporate change initiative that transformed the culture of the company and produced breakthrough business results in the wake of the telecom crash.

During this same period, Sakakeeny founded and served as president of the American Philharmonic Association. In 2010, the Chinese government sponsored American Philharmonic on an eight-city tour of China under Sakakeeny’s artistic leadership. In 2011, he was awarded Special Congressional Recognition from the United States Congress for his work with American Philharmonic as a conductor, cultural ambassador, and community leader.

Sakakeeny possesses a diverse body of experience focused on configuring organizations and leading people to produce extraordinary results. This combined work, life experience, and research has enabled his authorship of the book Subtle POWER – A Guide to the Human Operating System for Intentional Leaders and his proprietary human effectiveness technology. In both, he delivers a unique and practical method for dramatically improving the ways people work together.
