Mark Steward has worked in publishing for 20 years — 17 of those with HarperCollins in Glasgow. Now freelance, he continues to work as a project manager, photographer, designer, editor and author of a wide variety of titles, many of which are geographically themed.

Mark is a keen skier, francophile and connoisseur of French patisserie — preferably all at once. He currently lives in Stirling, Scotland, but, whenever possible, spends his free time in the Haute-Savoie region of France on hiking and photography trips.

He has a degree in Geography from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and a post-graduate diploma in Cartography from the University of Glasgow.
