An archaeologist by training (and inclination!), Pippin Mole spent many years abroad with her ex-husband and worked in the State Planning Organisation in Ankara, Turkey; moved to Ohio, USA where she taught evening classes in winter and returned to Turkey to excavate with the British Institute of Archaeology in the summers; moved to Shiraz, Iran where she taught archaeology and ancient Middle Eastern history in the university; moved back to the UK, where she became Museums Curator of a museums service (nine museums in all) in North East Scotland - a job she greatly enjoyed. She now lives in Richmond, Surrey.
She has written stories and poetry off and on all her life and uses the pen name 'Pippin Mole'.
