LK Chapman

LK Chapman writes psychological thrillers about family drama, secrets, lies and obsession. From dark and disturbing tales of control and jealousy, to twisty thrillers with a dash of romance, she is keen to unflinchingly explore the extremes, quirks and heartbreaks of the bonds we form with one another.

Drawing on a degree in psychology, during which her dissertation was in the area of young adults’ sexual health, Chapman often explores teenage relationships and mental health, and how difficult experiences during this stage of development can have consequences long into adulthood.

Before focusing full time on writing, she worked as a psychologist and has also volunteered for mental health charity Mind. Keen to help young people access new opportunities and embrace challenges, she currently volunteers at her local Scout group.

When she is not writing, Chapman will usually be found in her garden or enjoying the outdoors – immersing herself in nature and giving her mind a chance to work on her next story!
