Jim Butz has solved growth challenges for businesses large and small since the 1980s. At Bell Labs, AT&T, and the 1995 spinout, Lucent Technologies, he developed and managed software product teams, roadmaps and business plans. He also designed, created and implemented AT&T's nationwide computer servicing force for AT&T's launch into the computer world in 1984.
Since founding Resonnect in 2001, he has mentored and advised dozens of technology and services entrepreneurs who are launching and scaling businesses. In his role as a Small Business Development Center counselor, his early-stage clients raised $26,000,000 in equity capital and federal grant financing between 2011 and 2019. One of his clients appeared on the ABC television series, Shark Tank, and obtained a deal with Damon John.
Butz seizes on emerging tech trends and shows successful entrepreneurs how to maximize the value of their content to achieve growth goals. He is a Certified Consultant for successful Publish & Profit book creation and publishing program and has helped many authors become #1 Best Selling Authors on Amazon.
Butz was also a Managing Director of California Capital Partners, that was a merchant banking and venture capital fund that made capital placements to qualifying small and medium-sized technology-based businesses with high growth potential. His experience in analyzing over 3,000 startup company business plans gave him keen insight into what it takes to execute a growth strategy.
He lives in Carlsbad, California with his wife and business partner Cynthia Trevino. Carlsbad is conveniently located for one of his favorite pastimes: wine tasting in Santa Barbara, Sonoma and Napa.
