Katherine A. Foss

Dr. Katherine Foss is a professor of Media Studies in the School of Journalism & Strategic Media at Middle Tennessee State University where she teaches courses in health communication, television, and gender studies. Her latest book, "Constructing the Outbreak: Epidemics in Media and Collective Memory, offers analysis of more than 200 years of the history of disease. Foss lives in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and enjoys karate, climbing, and blogging about epidemics and media literacy.
