Andy Collidge was born in Sheldon, Birmingham in England in April 1957. He lived in Pershore, Worcestershire until I was 14, then moved to Buntingford, Hertfordshire, where at the age of 16, he joined the Police Force. He started writing poetry and short stories in his teens, but never showed them to anyone outside his family, eventually collating a sizable collection of original works. After careers in the Police, then the Kent Fire Brigade, he moved to the heartlands of Devon and brought a pub and restaurant. It was here that the urge to write again became urgent to him and a short story he had written 30 years earlier was re vamped and the first full novel, 'THE OPTIC' became published in 2014. The sequel, 'OPTIC's is due for release soon and the final book in the trilogy 'OPTICi' is almost completed.
