Dan was previously the Head of Behavioral Finance at Barclays Wealth Americas. The team specialized in developing and implementing commercial applications of the psychology of judgement and decision making, and behavioral economics.
Dan holds a BA (Distinction) in Economics from Boston University and an M.Sc. in Decision Science from the London School of Economics. His undergraduate honors thesis detailed how inclusion of wind-based energy could change the output profile of the electricity market, resulting in higher emissions and peak demand in the New England grid. His M.Sc. thesis provided a method for the elicitation and integration of expert opinions into hierarchical maps for the New Economics Foundation.
Between earning his B.A. and M.Sc. Daniel was a health economics researcher at the University of Pennsylvania. His research focused on the design of the “Part D” federal prescription drug benefit, and designing optimal monitoring patterns for high-risk patient populations.
After completing his M.Sc. Dan joined Chiliogon Ltd, an FSA authorized Corporate Finance Advisory and Investment Fund firm. His role in Chiliogon gave him invaluable experience in private-equity fund raising, IPO pricing, option pricing, and growth-business valuation.
