Vera DeMay

Vera DeMay, born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, grew up in Southern California in the 1950's and 60's. Raised her family in San Jose CA and now lives in Boise with her husband. She especially enjoys these retirement years as it allows her to pursue new areas of interest and passions. She began writing in 2013 and has written 5 books. She is especially interested in preserving the heritage of her family stories for future generations and encourages others to do the same.

Her first book, Elizabeth’s Story. tells the story of her mothers' life from Russia to Canada to the United States. Followed by Book Two of Elizabeth's Story, Return to Winnipeg which is her story of coming to the United States as a young child, speaking German, trying to fit into American culture. Book Three of Elizabeth's Story, This is My Story, This is My Song, written by her sister Linda, tells her story. In each of these books you will see different aspects of Elizabeth's life.

Vera is active in the Parkinson’s community and her church. She has two children and four grandchildren.
