Rowena Whaling's Bio:
Born in a trunk was Rowena - Into the magical world of stage lights, sceneries, orchestras and chorus lines. She spent her childhood "on the road" with her theatrical parents.
But wherever they traveled, always did she look to the Stars to find home... In them she heard the music... and music and writing has been her life ever since...
By the time Rowena was ten years old, she was writing poetry and short stories,
embellishing the Classical Greek tragedies - adding characters into and expanding upon the story lines. By then she was also testing the musical waters - writing her own musical plays, complete with story, dialog and songs.
When she was fourteen, her parents moved their home to New Orleans, where she soaked up the myriad creative and cultural influences. While in New Orleans, she began her quest for knowledge as an amateur Egyptologist and self-taught Cultural Anthropologist - which continues to this day - often keeping her head buried in ancient books as well as searching the stars for the secrets of the cosmos.
Rowena has always been a highly spiritual person, and began - even as young as six
years old - to search for Divine truths. This led to the study of many of the world's religions - both modern and ancient - and continues to exhibit itself in her witchy naturalism.
But Rowena was destined to become an author, too. And yes, the Voices of the Stars continued to speak to her and inspired her exquisitely written first novel "Voices of the Stars" - of the series of the same name. She is currently engrossed in the creation of the second book of the series.
Rowena also performs her wonderfully dramatic, sometimes quirky, sometimes hauntingly beautiful, music with her band, "Rowena of the Glen", at festivals and performing venues everywhere.
