Know the Way
Each morning when you wake... Your mind begins the day
Grasping for a sign... That you will find the way
A world so vast... So out of reach
Longing to understand... What lessons we must teach
So much hurt... So much pain
So much judgment... Said in vain
One step forward... That’s the key
Life goes on... Just let it be
Standard lines... To get you through
The endless task... Of what to do
Searching for... A peace of mind
Something only... You can find
Deep down you know… Good from bad
It's as simple as... Happy or sad
So in conclusion... You must say
I trust myself... To know the way
Proceeds from her book will be donated to www.childrensalopeciaproject.org Alopecia is an auto-immune disease that Emily has had since age six. This organization focuses on self-esteem and acceptance and loving oneself.
