Howard Feigenbaum

Born at an early age to people who hardly knew me, I knew life would not be easy. In the seventh grade, the school newspaper published my epic poem, Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys. In Los Angeles, I wrote for the University High School newspaper and became the Features Editor. In my senior year, I won two journalism contests: one featuring A Day in the Navy and another about the Los Angeles International Airport.

After a stellar career in business, I returned to writing.

A children's book, We're All Nuts!, tells the tale of a peanut named Goober who discovers that he is not a nut--but a legume. The revelation shakes his self-image and creates an identity crisis. The story is one of self-acceptance and is appropriate for children ages 6 to 10.

I have two poetry books to my credit: I Wish I Were a Soul Train Dancer and How to Cook a Turkey and Other Poems, accompanied by photographs.

Benny Goldfarb, Private "I" is the first in a series of stories which take place in South and Central America. The action/adventure/romance novel begins in a Los Angeles car wash. A Colombian cartel boss want the business to distribute drugs in Los Angeles. Benny, a long-time customer, invites the attractive Rosa Zuleca to go dancing. The next day she learns her cardiologist brother in Cartagena has disappeared. She calls on Benny for help. The story is sprinkled with humor, romance, travel, culture and local cuisine.

The second volume in the Benny Goldfarb series, Home Stretch, is set in Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.

A bank near Santa Anita, specializing in loans on race horses is defrauded. The case leads Benny to the tri-border region of the three countries--home to a hotbed of criminals and terrorists.

In the third volume, Hot Zone, set in Panama, Benny Goldfarb is tasked by the FBI to investigate the growing Chinese influence in Panama, and particularly control of the Canal.

Howard has also written the series Henry Samson: Finder of Wrongdoing under the pen name H. F. Jefferson.
