Robyn P Murray

Robyn P Murray was born in Co Antrim Northern Ireland and grew up with a love of reading and telling stories. She lives in New Zealand and has a son and two grandsons. A love of writing for children led to self publishing Children's Illustrated Books which have been read all over the world, transcribed into Braille for sight impaired children in New Zealand. A collection of short stories, Tales to Read in a Hammock followed with more in the pipeline. At present I am helping to produce a book with a collection of poetry and short stories from members of the Writers Group I belong to, set in the picturesque village of Mangere Bridge, New Zealand.

This has been a very busy year where my first children's illustrated book ROGER THE ROOSTER OF AMBURY PARK FARM has just been translated into Spanish. I am offering a package to the large Latin American Communities in New Zealand with the Spanish version EL GALLO ROGELIO and the English version. VIEWS FROM THE BRIDGE the collection of short stories from the Mangere Bridge Writers Group has the launch on 20th November 2014. There has been enormous support and interest from the community. My second book of short stories MORE TALES TO READ IN A HAMMOCK as well as being available on Kindle and eBooks is now in print.

I had an exciting day yesterday when I flew from Auckland to Wellington for the book launch of a book just published THE BEST OF TWISTY CHRISTMAS TALES, for children aged 7 - 12, with 27 authors from Australia and New Zealand and included my story A SNOWY KIWI CHRISTMAS. It was a wonderful event the books sold out and I spent the evening along with other authors signing the books. I'm loving the fact that in less than two years I have produced and independently published five books and been involved in contributing to several more. It is great to follow your passion.
