Mark Kirwan-Hayhoe was born in 1963 and educated at All Saints College, Middlesex and St. Luke’s, Exeter University. He is the author of seven books, including ‘Studying The Sixth Sense’ (Auteur Publishing, 2006) and ‘Transvestite Vampire Biker Nuns from Outer Space’, a consideration of cult film. In 2001, he created the Open College Network's Goddess Studies course. For over two decades he was a music, comic book and theatre reviewer for a variety of publications and the music editor for two magazines. He was also a ballet critic briefly, despite knowing almost nothing about it. He was an artist and illustrator for many years specializing in Celtic design but stopped when digital drawing software made him obsolete.
