Joseph Mastrogiulio

Joseph Mastrogiulio was born in 1961 in Queens, New York. As a boy, he dreamed of exploring exotic places and having exciting adventures around the world. After studying history, literature, and religion at Albright College in Pennsylvania, he went on to teach English in Kanagawa, Japan. After exploring nearly all of the United States, he settled in Hawaii. On a trip to New York, he was re-united with his long-lost cousins from Naples. This event stirred his curiosity and he began to probe into his Italian roots and the long and captivating history of Italy. After making a series of trips to the land of his ancestors, he formed the basis for his book, Summer Moons in Italy. He travels for pleasure and for inspiration, but mostly to satisfy the curiosity and the adventurous nature of the boy in him. He lives in Hawaii.
