Jackie Kloosterboer

Jackie Kloosterboer has been leading the way in earthquake and disaster preparedness for over 20 years. Jackie presents 100+ Emergency Preparedness sessions each year to individuals and business groups, taking them step by step through the process of how to prepare their family and pets for whatever disaster comes their way. She is often interviewed by a variety of media outlets across Canada as she promotes the importance of Emergency Preparedness.

An instructor with the Justice Institute of BC Jackie travels across Canada teaching volunteers how to respond to disasters helping those who have impacted. Throughout British Columbia Jackie has taken on leadership roles to assist those who have been displaced by disaster.

Jackie is a 2013 recipient of the Queens Jubilee award for her dedication to helping people displaced by disaster and received the 2014 Justice Institute of BC Instructor Excellence Award.

Jackie has taken this important message one step further with her book My Earthquake Preparedness Guide – Simple Steps to get You, Your Family and Pets Prepared, and with her blog with a host of Earthquake and Disaster Preparedness tips to help you get prepared for whatever disaster comes your way.
