Deborah O'Brien

Deborah O'Brien is an Australian writer, teacher and visual artist. She is the author of the bestselling 'Mr Chen's Emporium' ('Amys Geheimnis' in German), 'The Jade Widow', 'A Place of Her Own' and 'The Trivia Man' ('Ein anderes Wort fur Gluck').

Deborah divides her time between the city (Sydney) and a cottage in the country, overlooking a creek frequented by several platypuses. When she writes her books, she makes a point of including a platypus somewhere in the storyline!
