Brent C Dill had a traumatic experience involving an emu while visiting the zoo in Sydney, Australia. In fact, he's been attacked by birds on each continent he's visited.

He grew up surrounded by cotton and wind on a farm near Wellman, Texas.

He now lives in Pasadena, California, and writes fiction as well as non-fiction stories about the peculiar details memories choose to cling to.
